Let's talk about Suicide tonight....
Yes, I know that it is a rather morbid and taboo subject to even discuss but what better way to spark some interest in my blog by stirring controversy?
Moving along...
2 things come to my mind when I think about this subject...
1.) Why would people do such things? ( i.e jumping on MRT tracks, jumping off HDB flat..etc...
2.) What makes the difference between those who actually do undertake such a deed and those who do not?
I shall begin by answering the first point...(I'm feeling GPish today...can you tell?)
DESPAIR-The thing that drives people to commit such an act...
When all hope seems lost...when there is nothing to look forward to in this world...perhaps the best way is 'out'?
What about the other factors? Like fear for example...can this lead to someone taking his/her own life?
I think not but fear plays a major role in my second point...
The difference between us and the people 6 feet under? Fear...
I can honestly tell you that I'm afraid of dying...what happens after you die? How does it feel like to die?
Will I be in heaven? Or somewhere worse? I rather not have the answers to these questions....
What about the people that will be affected by your suicidal death? Are you doing justice to them? How would making them upset serve any purpose?
Just being selfish and thats all...
Think twice...there's no turing back once the fateful choice has been made...

Everyone loves to hate someone right? A person to pin your blame onto? Lessen your guilt of making a bad choice?
Well, I can't seem to find someone to hate..its just wrong for me...
It seems however, people can actually hate me....
Maybe I'm just being paranoid....

JOBLESS, UNEMPLOYED AND WITHOUT A GOAL...that sums up my life right now...
Where has everyone gone? All of a sudden, I feel that I have just lost all my friends in one go...the feeling is like hot water enveloping the whole body and blocking all sources of air...
My lung suffocates and my stomach churns...not a pleasant feeling....
Why so pessimistic? I know many would ask these questions...
IT'S JUST ME...I'm optimistic because I want to be..but this....
ITS INNATE...

Politics for commoners
Unless you have been living on Mars the past few months, you would have know that the You-Know-Who party has had a clean sweep in the S'pore GE 2006..
Almost...
Only Hougang and Potong Pasir were left for the 'victorious' other parties...
Which brings me to another point...
The benefits or so called "carrots" that were promised during the elections...politicians were like dangling the 'carrots' at almost every instance...vote me...don't vote the other person and what not...
I don't know about you but aren't promises meant to be kept?
It's been almost 6 months and still nothing has happened in Potong Pasir..the stuff that was promised? Never materialised....its like these things which matter the most to the common folk have been conveniently forgotten...
I won't claim to be the moralistic individual here...when I vote for a person, it's because I want the things promised to me by the candidate...naturally I'll vote for the one that can deliver the better goods...not so much for "The fight for democracy" or "The action against a one party rule'....
In the end? I'm stuck with an individual preaching the ideals of "Absolute Power Courrupts absolutely"....just great...
How is that relevant to me? My family? My father in particular right now?
He needs a lift(The kind in HDB flats)...not some rhetoric being thrown around...
Any response? Nah...they are all slacking off aren't they?
