Cm's story of the girl with the cleft lip is inspiring...( Read his blog for the full story) However, it made me reflect on one thing..which was my attitude towards my cousin when I was young..She had a cleft lip too..
I won't excuse my actions and I definetly won't condone them. I can remember that I hated my cosuin due to her ugliness(from the cleft lip)..I would never talk to her during any family gatherings and I got extremely irritated whenever she tired to interact with me and my other cousins...Despite all this, she remained cheerful...she never questioned why I was treating her this way...
I am saddened by the shallowness of my character during those days...I could have treated her better but I did not..all because of a physical defect...shame is the only thing that describes my feelings right now...
Up to today, she till has that cleft lip..it has gotten better though through some correction surgery...The surprising thing is that she harbours absolutely no grudges towards me even after after the way I had treated her..She still remains friendly and tries to talk to me...During this year's Chinese new year celebrations, I managed to converse with her but only for a short period of time..It's amazing that even up to this day, she still maintains her cheerfulness...
I'll make it up to her someday...I may not show it as well as some people I know but I truly love all my relatives..cousins included...

Ahh..teacher's day is tomorrow...time to break out the cards, gifts etc...
I feel exceptionally stingy this year so my tutors will not be getting anything from me..maybe a handwritten card if they are lucky...everyone likes handwritten cards right?

Sorry if I haven't been visiting everyone's blog but I have this phobia of 'contracting' viruses and spyware whenever I visit a blog with music, flashy effects, scrollers, etc..
Despite all this, I still receive a whole ton of unwanted spyware programs..hate the net because of this...
I never inspired anyone before until today..is this a change of the times?
